The Branch Efficiency & Communications Portfolio supports several applications that enable Edward Jones branch teams to assist with daily workflows to support our client needs. Our primary responsibility is to ensure we enable our Edward Jones branch associates enhanced capabilities to complete their day-to-day workflows effectively, with intuitive tools and resources that meet their needs. We are seeking strategic thinkers who are highly motivated to drive business objectives and make data driven decisions.
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be a part of a collaborative stable team whose end goal is to improve the overall communications experience for the branch teams. You will review, analyze, and evaluate the end user needs as defined by the persona and strategic goals of the product team mission to draft and create user stories and specifications for acceptance criteria to meet the needs of the Epics and Features laid out by the Product Owner and Design team.
By joining our portfolio, you will:
- Be responsible to the Branch Efficiency & Communications Sr. Product Owner, serving as a primary contact for issues and escalations related to their supported systems, providing as timely resolution as possible.
- Support multiple highly complex business processes.
- Refine user stories of varying complexity through collaboration between Product Owner, product team, and business stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between Technology and Digital Product Management division to ensure alignment between business needs and delivered capabilities.
- Collaborate with other portfolio associates including developers, user experience designers/researchers, and quality assurance team members to ensure deliverables support acceptance criteria; and are aligned with broader Feature/Epic goals.
Skills-Requirements
What Experience You Need:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.
- 4 years experience designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.
- Previous experience with Agile methodology (user storying creation and refinement, defining user acceptance criteria) and tools such as Jira, Aha
- Technical proficiency with tools to identify, collect and analyze data such as SQL Developer, Data Studio, or TOAD.
- Ability to document new and existing business process flows and research data definition to develop expertise or promote data usage efficiency.
- Ability to summarize moderate to highly complex business cases, system information and concepts and clearly and effectively communicate to cross divisional leadership using verbal, written and presentations skills.
- Advanced knowledge of standard Business System Analyst principles and practices.
- Associate must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, multi-task and work with leader to prioritize assigned tasks / projects.
- Strong relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to provide working system prototypes and scenario modeling.
- Advanced understanding of evolving firm reporting technology platforms
