Infrastructure Engineer


Carrollton, TX


The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team to provide IT Engineering Services to our Cloud and Technology Solutions stack for the Information Technology department. You will work to mature our Cloud Technology Program and support activities related to development and maintenance of policies, standards, procedures, and controls. Using your extensive infrastructure governance and technologies experience, you will collaborate with the broader Information Technology team and other departments within the Company to advance program maturity.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for day to day operational and engineering activities in corporate offices and assisting with Stores.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues across Windows/MacOS and Cloud based architectures.
  • Manage, and support 3rd party SAAS applications such as Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS).
  • Provide end to end technical support for onboarding an offboarding employees within the organization.
  • Manage users, groups, and computer objects within on-premises and Cloud based Active Directory Services.
  • Coordinate enterprise infrastructure hardware and software installation and upgrades. And assist with overall Life Cycle Management and Inventory requirements.
  • Support stores with Tablet issues and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality of these devices.
  • Participate in system architecture studies of new and existing IT systems to permit development of integrated corporate, distributed, and client server business systems.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, and Windows Server
  • Medium level knowledge of Office365 applications including Exchange, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, SharePoint Online and OneDrive
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure hardware and software systems including network, compute, storage, and security for traditional data center as well as cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • High Level understanding of computer networking and proven knowledge of TCP/IP, WANs (Wide Area Networks) LANs (local area networks) and Wi-Fi networking
  • Experience in identifying, escalating cyber security threats, and working with modern endpoint protection systems
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and presentation skills including the ability to clearly articulate technology strategy recommendations often to those without a technical acumen
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Cisco Meraki Experience a Plus
