We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is motivated and ready to implement Vanguard’s Multi-Cloud infrastructure strategy while helping peers grow their technical expertise. In this role, you will be a member of a cross functional team working with teams across the organization to adopt innovative cloud native technologies and processes to engineer, highly scalable, resilient & secure cloud solutions.

In this role you will:

• Plan, design, build, test, and deploy enterprise infrastructure and services as code using CI/CD workflows.
• Develop the technical expertise of teams across our cloud offerings and processes.
• Drive a continuous learning mindset in various teams.

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or 4+ years of professional experience
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience in an object-oriented programming language or similar.
• Experience automating and operating cloud native technologies, applications deployment, and provisioning infrastructure on Azure, GCP, or AWS
• Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform, ARM templates, Deployment Manager configurations, CloudFormation or similar.
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt in production
• Experience with cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Code Deploy or similar.
• Hands on experiences with distributed application architecture such as containers, Kubernetes, or Serverless technologies
• Experience with Agile practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing & firewall
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregating tools such as Splunk, DataDog
• Experience with cloud native security implementations DevSecOps or MLOps
• Cloud certifications for Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to advocate for DevOps practices across teams
