Main responsibilities


As part of the Real Word Evidence and Behavioural Science Team, the Data Manager will be responsible for Real World Data management asset including anonymized Electronic Health Records, Medical Claims, patient registries, national surveys and other emerging data types and enabling analysts to maximize the use of data for a wide range of applications. He/She will be implementing the Real word data governance and ensuring those who need access to the data know how to use the data appropriately and effectively. He/She will be also responsible for managing and cataloging Clinical data assets, including historical and ongoing clinical trial data:


  • Develop and implement procedures for effective data management
  • Develop and maintain a data catalog of all the available real word data and clinical data in Sanofi CHC and collect the information for database usage across the CHC
  • Assist the Data expansion lead in assessing the data quality and compatibility of new external vendor data and ensuring data compliance
  • Coordinate the data transfer with the vendors and perform the data ingestion and quality checks in the new standalone platform
  • Overseeing and executing the migration of CHC data from current systems to new standalone platform
  • Working with IT to define the appropriate data architecture and data management systems for our intended purpose
  • Perform a periodic check on the data quality (especially when datasets are updated or refreshed on a regular basis)
  • Monitoring could include a combination of automated scripts, programming checks, and subject matter expert review
  • Contribute changes and/or improvements to data governance processes as new data and new risks emerge and ensure compliance with data usage policies
  • Develop and update data/product/analytics pipelines and dashboard to reduce the analytical burden, improve communication and accelerate data delivery
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with all the RWE and Behavioural Science team, Digital, and IT partners
  • Maintain a keen awareness on new technologies and data management systems

Experience


ABOUT YOU


  • Experience in data management or analysis using biomedical/patient health data/real world data/clinical data/novel data streams
  • Experience with Data hub platform and interfaces
  • Experience in manipulating large amounts of data
  • Experience working with private and sensitive personal information
  • Experience with cloud and high-performance computing environments (AWS, GCP)

Technical skills


  • Computer programming skills in Python/Pyspark, R, SQL
  • Ability to learn new programming techniques and data structures quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge of compliance, privacy, and safety pertinent to real-world data analytics
  • Ability to organize large amounts of data
  • Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms
  • Readily adapt to new environment, technologies, and processes

Education


  • An advanced educational degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
