Position Details
As a Technical Program Manager on the GTG Technical Operations PMO team, you will lead large-scale, cross functional technical programs involving our business partners, portfolio managers/directors and corresponding technology teams. You will be a senior leader and shepherd projects through the operating model that governs all technology projects at Grainger. You will be a part of an elite team of program managers that are deployed to manage the most business critical technology project initiatives.
You will report directly to the Director, Tech Ops PMO
Pay
This position is salaried and will pay between $126990 - $195330 with a target bonus of 20%

You Will
- Plans, organizes, and leads all phases of the project life cycle to ensure delivery, which includes managing project governance plans, schedules, team goals, defining success criteria, milestones and budgets.
- Be the voice of coordination that ensures alignment of resources and anticipates and remediates impediments and risks.
- Lead resource and cost plans needed to achieve desired goals within established timeframes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, customer satisfaction and communicate status to all levels of the company, including the CxO and VP levels, while providing tailored levels of detail based on the audience.
- Balance needs of the business versus technical constraints and feasibility.
- Holistically understand the scope of work and decompose it into logical, manageable, and sequential bodies of work with clear acceptance criteria.
- Measure project deliverable progress with objective signals.
- Be a team player who builds relationships with team members, sponsors, stakeholders and others involved with or affected by the program.
You Have
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams to deliver solutions with multiple dependencies and technical constraints.
- Experience delivering large-scale software development projects.
- Experience leading projects involving cloud technologies, virtualization, and global infrastructure.
- Experience delivering communications to Senior executives.
- Working knowledge of project management tools like Jira, MS Project and Smartsheet.
- Direct experience with Project Portfolio Management suites like ServiceNow PPM.
- Experience with ERP suites like SAP is a plus.
- Experience with CRM suites like Salesforce is a plus.
- Agile and/or Project Management certifications are desired.
