What you'll be doing...

We're seeking to build our Platform Security organization and are seeking candidates with readiness to learn and build their security skills in the exciting and growing field of cloud security.

As a member of Verizon's Platform Security you will support the team in its goals of embracing cloud security based technologies across multiple platforms and cloud providers (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, Google GCP, etc.). Cloud Security team requires cloud security aware skilled staff to support the demands of the business and to care for our customer base.

As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be a key contributor in cloud security, administrating cloud security solutions, defining policies and rules, managing access and integrations, identifying and mitigating security risks in our cloud platforms; and balancing security requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. In this role you will gain valuable experience and insight in protecting Verizon's cloud environments and will be at the heart of guarding our data and applications against advanced threat adversaries.

We are seeking candidates with a passion and excitement for cloud security and the willingness to learn in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

• Working closely with Cloud Security teams to integrate/secure the Cloud Platform.
• Analyzing and understanding security risks across multi cloud platforms and services.
• Partnering with enterprise / cloud architecture teams to establish the secure architecture patterns.
• Designing technical solutions while maintaining a security mindset.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in multi cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) and services.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of security solution development and contributing to the cloud platforms such as (AWS, GCE, Azure).
• Experience in Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
• Experience in Information Security, Networking or Security Risk Management.
• Experience in Cloud Security (AWS, GCS, Azure).
• Good documentation and organization skills.
• Ability to multitask, take direction, prioritize, and manage multiple activities / tasks to achieve objectives.
• Experience in managing Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud platforms, GCP.
• Experience in security architecture, security design and defining security frameworks for the enterprise.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to present and communicate to both superiors and peers.
