Position Overview


In this role you will have two primary areas of focus Windows Hypervisor and Cloud Manager. You would be responsible for the architecture and oversight of a technical team that provides day to day support and administration. This role will also include the opportunity to design and oversee our transition to cloud technologies as our applications migrate off premise to cloud solutions.


You will be owning and driving product functionality, uptime, standards, and architecture.


You will work with the service providers, vendors, senior technical leaders, and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through technical skills and prior experience


Responsibilities


  • Demonstrate extensive expertise in Hyper-V (at least 5 years of experience) with experience setting up and managing availability groups
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and cloud management tools Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS environment (navigating resources, check configuration
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of any Hyper-V related problems will be primary responsibilities of this engineer.
  • This position requires coordination with the customer, as well as a variety of technical personnel with different specialized skills.
  • Proven Translate business needs into workable technology solutions that meet the needs of internal customers.


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 8 years of information systems/information technology experience
  • 1 year of lead experience


OR


  • Master’s degree
  • At least 6 years of information systems/information technology experience
  • 1 year of lead experience


OR


  • At least 10 years of information systems/information technology experience
  • 1 year of lead experience


Additional Requirements


  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.   • Experience working with Cloud providers and Hyper-V
  • Experience crafting critical metrics in easily consumable reports
  • Expert in Performance Analysis, Troubleshooting and Problem Determination
  • Experience in verification/validation and planning for required patches / microcode upgrade.
  • Expert in performing Root Cause Analysis in Windows and Cluster operations.
  • Assist Team Members, Mentor New Joiners in the team and Perform as an Individual Contributor.
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter – to thrive in an environment where you set priorities and complete initiatives with little direct input or supervision.
  • Ability to understand Business requirements & translate them into technology solutions, Implement Best Practices.
  • Ownership of Infrastructure and responsible for service uptime / availability
  • Develop / Prepare / Maintain SOPs and Operational Run books, follow ITIL processes - Incident management, Problem management, Change management, Performance management, Capacity management, Configuration & availability management activities
  • Participate in Change & release management
  • Plan & Implement routine, normal & complex changes
  • Lead escalations - within Windows and supporting technologies
  • Participate or projects independently
