We are currently seeking an Associate Director of Data Engineering for our Enterprise Data Services (EDS) team. This is a high impact, hands on role that will drive significant data solutions by leading a small team and contributing to the delivery of value-added data used in analytics and marketing initiatives that leverage the vast amount of data and resources OneMain has access to.

This individual will be charged with enabling and implementing customer driven data solutions, transitioning business managed processes to the EDS platform, leading Python builds using ETL tools in AWS, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategies. This is a high-impact role that requires excellent leadership, communication, and technical skills. This role will require the individual to work seamlessly with members of the tech organization and our business partners. As part of the EDS team, the individual will help drive data transformation by contributing to our growing Cloud initiative.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a track record of leading high-performing teams to deliver complex data solutions. An experienced leader and data architect focused on performance and with the ability to translate high-level technical requirements into executable project plans.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in STEM field
• Core experience is in software and/or data engineering in consumer financial institution
• 8+ Years of data engineering experience
• 5+ years managing a diverse team towards business strategy
• Experience building data products and services using microservices architecture
• Experience with Open Source & Cloud native technologies
• Excellent people management & thought leadership
• Ability to influence business and technology partners
• Technical skills include experience with AWS cloud platform, SQL, Python, and IBM Datastage. SAS and COBOL skills are nice to have but not required.
