A Typical Day

The AVP of Project Management - Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for facilitating a team that is delivering on an IT program or set of complex IT projects. As the AVP of Project Management - Cloud Infrastructure , you will define and prioritize program and project objectives, critical success factors, and deliverables.

The AVP of Project Management - Cloud Infrastructure will :

  • Build and maintain relationships with project owners, business stakeholders, resource leaders, technical and business teams
  • Create a shared focus on the importance of achieving results within the team
  • Manage life cycle of projects with traditional software development and Agile principles for strategic projects that range in scope, budget and size, involving significant levels of risk and complexity
  • Oversee business requirement gathering, system requirement creation, and documentation
  • Apply elements of the project management discipline at a high level of rigor, appropriate to the program or project
  • Identify critical-path decisions, make recommendations, and influence outcomes to ensure project advancement
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, quality, product management, engineering, or operations
  • Strong IT project management experience driving complex, cross functional cloud projects or cloud migration efforts specifically with AWS
  • Devops knowledge and experience as a Program and/or Project Manager
  • Experience collaborating with large technical project teams or managing a team of 10 or more within an Agile environment
  • Proficient in project management tools including Confluence and Jira
  • Extensive experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio, and multi-tier application development (user interfaces, application, database)

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
