What it takes to be successful:

• Undergraduate degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Goon Analysis and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, node.js)
• Overall understanding of computer science concepts.

In this role, you will:

• Be part of a development team that delivers security features for other IT teams to be able to protect their external applications.
• Elevate code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provide follow up production support. Submit change control requests and documents.
• Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
• Thoroughly understand client business functions and technology needs. Have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Vanguard's technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business areas and systems.
• Obtain deep knowledge in technologies related to Authentication & Authorization.
• Interface with cross functional team members and communicates systems issues at the appropriate technical level for each audience.
• Thoroughly understand and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verifies that deliverables meet requirements.
• Monitors and supports multiple cloud based technology domains/platforms through the use of monitoring tools and applications. Maintains proficient knowledge of cloud software and infrastructure platforms.
• Administers systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks. Evaluating system performance and capacity in a large distributed infrastructure environment
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
