We are seeking an experienced Integration Specialist with a strong background in state or local government to join our team. As an Integration Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that enable seamless data exchange between various systems and applications within our organization.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify integration needs.
• Design and develop integration solutions using middleware and integration platforms.
• Implement and configure integration middleware to facilitate data exchange between different systems.
• Create and maintain integration workflows and data mapping to ensure accurate and efficient data transfer.
• Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Work closely with application developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance for integration solutions to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other teams during integration testing and production deployment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in integration technologies and recommend improvements to existing integration processes.
• Document integration solutions, processes, and configurations for reference and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Integration Specialist, preferably in a state or local government setting.
• Strong understanding of integration concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with middleware and integration platforms, such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or IBM Integration Bus.
• Proficiency in data formats and protocols commonly used in integration, including XML, JSON, REST, and SOAP.
• Familiarity with security protocols and standards related to data integration.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of state or local government business processes and data systems.
• Experience with government-specific integration challenges, such as compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with common government data standards, such as NEMSIS, NIBRS, or NIEM.
• Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud-based integration solutions and hybrid cloud environments.
• Certification in relevant integration technologies or platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple integration projects simultaneously.
