Job Description
We are hiring a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst, a motivated technologist / leader, to join our support organization. In this role, the resource will serve as a production support specialist for supporting FFIO Business Units Infrastructure and Applications. Your key partners are Fund Accounting (Fixed Income and Equity, Money Market and Institutional Products), Pricing, Cash Hub, Trade Hub and DAL accounting Technology / Business Teams.
The Principal Systems specialist will be responsible for ensuring all applications systems are operational, data reliability, system observability, incident triaging, problem management and release / change engineering. This position will also be providing on-call and weekend support on a rotational basis. This position will also be providing technical leadership to the team that is spread across geographical locations. The Expertise And Skills You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of Production Support or Development Experience.
- Strong working experience on cross platform application environments including cloud, distributed, operating systems, network, storage systems and automation.
- Financial Services Industry experience is preferred.
- A self-starter and team player who can independently manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong hands-on experience and knowledge on Linux, CLI / BSH, Python, Splunk
- Expertise in Observability, Scripting and automation tools.
- Expertise in analyzing and writing Oracle SQL Queries and on PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies.
- Highly effective business communication and influencing skills.
- AWS and AWS / EKS certifications are a plus.
- Consult with the team in support of environments, project deliverables and various technical matters.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and a thought leader to team members.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify dependencies, coordinate activities and resolve challenges.
- Represent, translate and communicate incident / service requests / problem and project statuses to the leadership team.
- Council team manager and assist in identifying / setting up technical priorities.
- Participates in an on-call rotation and Disaster Recovery with other team members to provide exceptional service to our partners and customers.
- Assists the team members with successful roll out of product and technological upgrades by coordinating the required activities across the business units.
- Should be a strong advocate for production stability, reliability, and resiliency. Should partner with Enterprise Infrastructure and Business Unit Leadership team to lead and prioritize the common goals of Site Reliability Engineering.
- Perform detailed data analysis to support data management operations.
- Respond to business questions relating to the timeliness and quality of the data received and run.
- Tackle production related issues in data management and engage with our Technology and Business partners to resolve them when needed.
The Team
The Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) Application Delivery Team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides production support for applications which includes Incident, Change, Problem, Release and SRE Management.
We partner with our key stakeholders in Information Technology and business teams to deploy new functionalities, software fixes and support applications in a wide range of infrastructures and products.
