About The Job

The HPC & AI Cloud Services Platform Engineering Team focuses on providing supercomputing as a service (SCaaS) to a broad computing community through accessible web-based platforms. Our team is looking for an experienced HPC Cloud Engineer. The successful candidate will join our stellar team to help engineer a highly forward-looking cloud computing platform optimizing data and compute performance, gravity, and liquidity across a complex ecosystem.

How Will You Make Your Mark...

• Assess, design, program, debug, and modify from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.
• Evaluate, plan, debug, and integrate existing software frameworks to create an overall functional and reliable cloud infrastructure platform.
• Bring technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Write code and complete programming by using current programming languages and technologies.
• Perform testing and debugging of applications.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Interact with users and team members to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at management levels.
• Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of customer engagements.
• Typically interact with high-level individual contributors, managers, and program core teams
• Provide business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or equivalent
• 3-5 years of Experience in infrastructure and systems software development
• 3-5 years working with high-performance computing Linux Clusters and associated management tools
• Experience with Python and other relevant programming languages
• Experience in advanced HPC systems administration and scripting
• A professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-performance computing applications and workflows
• Experience in large-scale cloud or system integration projects
