This position will be in Data Integration and Security Architect for NASA's Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP).

This position has the option to be fully remote anywhere within the United States.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in Data Integration and Data Sharing tasks using Amazon Web Services cloud based platform tools.
  • Provides technical oversight of security controls for existing and new computer assets and flight hardware.
  • Work with department analysts to develop new processes to extend tool capabilities.
  • Work with Information System Owner and Information System Security Officer to ensure Government security policies, standards and procedures are established and enforced.
  • Conduct evaluation, analysis, and implementation of software/hardware intended for use on the secured IT assets.

Minimum Requirements

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of technical experience
  • Significant aptitude and demonstrated skills in object-oriented design
  • Experience with technical controls required to protect data
  • Ability to interface with multiple SW languages and frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; dependability and good interpersonal skills
  • Data gathering, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have two or more of the following

  • Previous experience with cloud-based technologies
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Docker, ElasticSearch, NodeJS, Python, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with US Government IT security policy
  • NIST SP 800-53
  • FIPS

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$71,000 - $102,700 - $134,400
