Application Operations Leader

What does a successful Application Ops Leader do?

The Application Ops Leader is responsible for managing of our App Ops team to ensure all programs are adequately staffed. The App Ops Leader will also ensure that targets for the development, maintenance, and quality of products are achieved. This position is not remote and will be expected to report to our Omaha office the majority of days.

What You Will Do

Requires high levels of partnership and influence with AD teams

Create and/or update dashboards utilizing monitoring tools suite and other tools

Collaborate with application, service and problem teams recommending changes for performance improvements as a result of data from dashboards and monitoring tools

Ensure availability of Enterprise dashboards

Prepare performance and summary reports

Ensure accuracy of metric data from Splunk and other data collection platforms.

Integrate alerts into Splunk dashboards where applicable

Work closely with and support operations monitoring team

Monitors production, outputs, and services to ensure SLAs, other quality metrics, are being met

Gather and analyze monitoring requirements from application owners

What You Will Need To Have

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant program of study is required.

Minimum of 3 years in Customer Service, Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, Development, or Application Operations support

Requires little instruction on day-to-day work

You have a flexible schedule and are available to work nights and weekends

Good working knowledge of Linux, Windows & database technologies

A strong desire to learn new things and continually improve yourself, your team and the applications you support with a “can do anything” mentality

Experience with various Cloud technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, etc)

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
