This position supports the long-running Nuclear Capabilities Services (NuCS) project as part of our Nuclear Effects & System Assessment (NESA) directorate. This directorate is responsible for nuclear analyses, including EMP testing, missile defense, high-powered electromagnetics, nuclear hardening, survivability, and model creation and validation. Based out of Raleigh, NC, this position is part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of physicists and software engineers delivering the next generation of cloud and web-enabled physics modeling software.
You'll enhance our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and security automation as a team member. Success in this role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing cutting-edge solutions, and promoting best practices for security and scalability.
Due to the work, you’ll perform and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs, you will need to be eligible to apply for and hold a US Security Clearance (selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment).
DevOps Cloud Engineer Required Education And/or Experience
Associates Degree in Computer Science (or similar STEM degree) with 7-9 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or similar STEM degree) along with 5-7 years of related experience OR 3-5 years of experience with a Master’s Degree
DevOps Cloud Engineer Desired Technology & Skills
- Linux (RHEL or Ubuntu preferred)
- Kubernetes & Containers
- Operating a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) system (GitLab or equivalent)
- Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent)
- Cybersecurity (vulnerability management, threat modeling, risk assessment)
- Comp TIA Security+
